The Council of the European Union (Agriculture and Fisheries) is scheduled to meet on 13 July 2026 in Brussels to adopt its agenda, review the Presidency's work programme, and hold exchanges on key agricultural topics, according to a notice of meeting and provisional agenda published by the Council. The meeting, starting at 10:00 in the Europa building, will include a presentation by the European Commission on the Livestock Strategy and Protein Plan, followed by an exchange of views among ministers. Additionally, the Council will hold an exchange of views on women in agriculture, and the Commission will provide information on trade-related agricultural issues, also with an exchange of views. The Presidency has proposed a public debate under Article 8(2) of the Council's Rules of Procedure. The agenda adoption includes possible approval of "A" items, with the legislative list subject to public deliberation per Article 16(8) of the Treaty on European Union. Delegates are required to send their accreditation list to access.general@consilium.europa.eu as soon as possible.
