High Representative/Vice-President Kaja Kallas will travel to Manila, Philippines from 22 to 24 July 2026, according to a media advisory published by the European External Action Service on 20 July. The visit includes participation in the EU-ASEAN Post-Ministerial Conference, the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting, and the 33rd ASEAN Regional Forum Ministerial Meeting, where she will exchange views on regional and global security issues. On 24 July, Kallas will take part in events marking the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation, ASEAN's foundational document, and co-chair a panel on mediation and peacebuilding with Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono. During the visit, Kallas will also open the inaugural Kyiv-Manila Dialogue with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, and hold bilateral meetings with Philippine Secretary of Foreign Affairs Theresa Lazaro and Secretary of National Defence Gilberto Teodoro. A press conference with the Philippine Foreign Secretary is scheduled for 24 July at approximately 8:30 AM local time, to be transmitted live on EBS. The trip underscores the EU's engagement with the Indo-Pacific region and support for Ukraine's diplomatic outreach.
