The Council of the European Union has issued a corrigendum to correct an obvious error in the Hungarian language version of Council Regulation (EU) 2024/3211, which amends Regulation (EU) 2021/2278 suspending Common Customs Tariff duties on certain agricultural and industrial products. The correction, published on 1 July 2026, amends the product description in the annex table entry 0.6809 to ensure linguistic accuracy and legal clarity.

The corrigendum follows Procedure 2(b) for obvious errors in one language version and sets an 8-day time limit for Member State observations. The correction changes the Hungarian text from 'A 8432 és a 8433 vtsz. alá tartozó járművekbe vagy berendezésekbe történő beszerelésre alkalmas, kefe nélküli állandó gerjesztésű egyenáramú motor:' to 'Járművekbe vagy a 8432 és a 8433 vtsz. alá tartozó berendezésekbe történő beszerelésre alkalmas, kefe nélküli állandó gerjesztésű egyenáramú motor:'. This ensures that the product scope is correctly described, preventing potential misinterpretation or disputes regarding the tariff suspension.

The corrigendum underscores the EU's commitment to linguistic accuracy in legislative acts, supporting transparency and consistency in customs procedures. It has no substantive impact on the regulation's policy provisions but reinforces legal certainty for importers and customs authorities relying on the Hungarian version.
