The Parliament endorsed the Commission's proposal on EPPO and OLAF access to Union-level VAT information by 549 votes in favour, 33 against and 84 abstentions — a margin of 516 votes. The resolution was carried by a broad grand coalition spanning EPP, S&D, Renew, Greens/EFA, The Left and the bulk of ECR, while PfE members largely abstained and ESN members mostly voted against. As a non-legislative own-initiative resolution delivered under the consultation procedure, this text carries no direct legal effect.

It does, however, represent Parliament's formal political position and is intended to press the Council to act on the Commission proposal, signalling the institution's strong appetite for enhanced enforcement tools against VAT fraud at EU level. The vote revealed only limited dissent. Within PfE, the majority of members abstained ( 59 abstentions against 13 in favour and 6 against), reflecting a more cautious stance on extending the investigative reach of supranational bodies. ESN voted predominantly against. The most notable internal division occurred within ECR, where 17 of 18 members of the Polish Prawo i Sprawiedliwość delegation voted against their group's otherwise supportive line.
