Parliament gave its consent to the amended EU-Morocco agreement on the terms of Morocco's participation in the PRIMA Mediterranean research and innovation partnership, adopting it by 573 votes to 35 , with 37 abstentions. The EPP, S&D, Renew, Greens/EFA, ECR, PfE and ESN backed the text almost unanimously; opposition and abstentions came overwhelmingly from The Left. As a consent decision under the consent procedure, this vote clears the way for the underlying agreement to take effect, without Parliament being able to amend its terms. The report carried across the political spectrum, with only The Left divided — casting the bulk of the against votes and abstentions, while a small number of non-attached Members and members of the PfE and ECR groups also declined to support it.
