Representatives from government agencies, the expert community, and the Ukrainian lobbying profession met to discuss developing the professional standard 'Lobbying Professional (Lobbyist)' within Ukraine’s National Qualifications System. The discussion, initiated by the National Qualifications Agency, analyzed the legal basis, integration with current lobbying regulation, and the stages of standard development, including stakeholder engagement and balancing self-regulation with state oversight. Participants stressed that the standard should set clear knowledge and ethics requirements without creating new barriers. A consolidated view emerged that the standard will improve lobbying quality and professional training. Yuriy Balanyuk, head of the National Qualifications Agency, was thanked for organizing the event, and the Ukrainian National Lobbyists Association pledged ongoing work in line with the Law on Lobbying.
