Parliament approved the mobilisation of the EU Solidarity Fund for Romania, Cyprus and Spain by 642 votes to 13 , with 1 abstention. Every political group backed the release of funds: the EPP, S&D, Renew, Greens/EFA and The Left recorded no opposing votes, while the small number of votes against came from within the ECR, PfE and ESN. This is a budgetary file: it authorises the disbursement of financial assistance from the EU Solidarity Fund to the three member states that suffered natural disasters in 2025, and takes direct effect on the EU budget once adopted. Handled as a single vote under the consultation procedure, it drew near-unanimous support across the spectrum. The handful of dissenting votes did not affect the outcome, which passed with one of the widest margins the chamber records.
