The European Casino Association (ECA) has appointed Hermann Pamminger as its Secretary General, the association announced on April 14, 2026. Pamminger, a veteran of Casinos Austria with over three decades of industry experience, will lead the ECA's advocacy efforts for the licensed European casino industry before EU authorities.

Pamminger's appointment formalizes a role he has held since 2020, when he took the helm during the challenging landscape of the pandemic. His involvement with the ECA predates its official founding in 2006, having served as Press Coordinator since its inception. The ECA began in the 1990s as a forum advocating for the interests of the licensed European casino industry.

Pamminger's career started in 1991 with Casinos Austria International, focusing on project development across regions including the former Eastern Bloc countries, Australia, South Africa, the USA, Switzerland, and Belgium. He later served as Head of Marketing for Casinos Austria International before joining the parent company Casinos Austria AG in 2013 as an assistant to the Board of Directors and Head of CSR. Currently, he serves as an Expert for Public and European Affairs at the Group's Head Office in Vienna.

Pamminger holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Corporate Governance from the University of Linz, Austria, and a degree in Knowledge Management from the Danube University in Krems, Austria.
