The EU Council's Working Party on International Food and Agricultural Questions (Codex - CAC) has scheduled an informal videoconference for 15 July 2026 to debrief the 49th Session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC49), which took place from 6 to 10 July 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland. The meeting, set for 10:00 and limited to the morning under a 1+1 format, will allow member state delegates to discuss outcomes and implications of the CAC49 session. The agenda includes the debriefing as the main item, followed by any other business. Delegations are required to join via the Delegates Portal, where Council documents are also available. The meeting is informal and does not involve decision-making, serving primarily as a coordination forum for EU positions on international food standards set by the Codex Alimentarius Commission.
