IPPC concluded in Milan on 30 April 2026, hosted by the Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association (PPTA). The event drew more than 350 participants from academia, industry, the patient community, government and beyond, showcasing science-driven policy discussions for the plasma sector in Europe. Marilena Vrana of PPTA highlighted growing global interest in plasma-derived medicines and the conference as a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration. Nikolaj Siersbaek of Copenhagen Economics presented research on the economic impact of plasma-derived therapies in Europe and outlined policy pathways for a sustainable supply. David Osgathorp delivered a keynote linking high performance to disciplined decision-making. The Congress addressed EU critical medicine supply chains, patient access, pricing and reimbursement, and donor health, amid a shifting regulatory and global context. The event promoted PPTA’s “Share Your Voice” patient survey. Barcelona will host the next IPPC on 20-21 April 2027 (pptaglobal.org/ippc).
