Portugal's government said that next week there will be a decline in the price of road diesel and unleaded gasoline, but it will not reduce the current extraordinary and temporary ISP discount. Consequently, the discount in force remains higher than the additional VAT revenue. Next week, ISP reductions will continue at 8.3 cents per liter for road diesel and 4.6 cents per liter for unleaded gasoline. Accounting for VAT, the real discount for Portuguese consumers will be 10.3 cents per liter for diesel and 5.6 cents per liter for gasoline. When considering fuel supports introduced by this Government amid the Iran conflict and earlier discounts, the cumulative reduction amounts to 21.6 cents per liter for gasoline and 19.9 cents per liter for diesel. The Government will continue to monitor weekly the evolution of prices.
