The Council of the European Union has published a corrigendum to the EU-Iceland Passenger Name Record (PNR) Agreement, correcting two cross-references in the text. The corrigendum, dated 24 June 2026 and bearing reference 10324/26, changes the phrase 'Annex I' to 'the Annex' in Article 2, point (5) and Article 3(3) of the agreement, which was signed in Luxembourg on 14 October 2025.

The correction applies to all language versions. In Article 2, point (5), the definition of PNR data now refers to elements 'exhaustively listed in the Annex' rather than 'Annex I'. In Article 3(3), Iceland's obligation to ensure its Passenger Information Unit (PIU) deletes any data element not listed upon receipt now refers to 'the Annex' instead of 'Annex I'.

The corrigendum is classified as a correction of obvious errors under Procedure 2(c). Member States have three days to submit observations to the Directorate Quality of Legislation of the Legal Service (dql.rectificatifs@consilium.europa.eu).

This technical correction does not alter the substance of the agreement, which aims to facilitate the transfer of PNR data between the EU and Iceland for the prevention, detection, investigation, and prosecution of terrorist offences and serious crime. The agreement was signed on 14 October 2025 and is subject to ratification by both parties.
