On 3-4 June, Helsinki hosts the Eurelectric Power Summit 2026, a high-level forum for policymakers, industry leaders and experts to discuss Europe’s energy trilemma—electrification, security and competitiveness. The summit aims to show how electrification can bolster energy security and industrial strength while continuing decarbonisation, amid geopolitical frictions, trade tensions and extreme weather.
The agenda highlights challenges of integrating variable renewables and meeting rising demand from transport, industry and data centres. Confirmed speakers include Finnish President Alexander Stubb, EC Executive Vice-President Teresa Ribera, Finland’s Minister of Climate and the Environment Sari Multala, and MEPs Radan Kanev and Ville Niinistö. A press conference with Eurelectric President Markus Rauramo and Secretary General Kristian Ruby is scheduled for 3 June at 13:00 EEST. Two studies, Power Couples 2.0 and Powering the AI Revolution, will be launched during the summit, addressing electrification pathways and AI-driven grid optimization.
