Dutch supermarkets sell meat products with undisclosed plant-based ingredients.

In Dutch supermarkets, meat products increasingly contain plant-based ingredients, with some products having as much as 40% plant content. Ingredients such as garden beans, chickpeas, and sugar beets are used in minced meat, burgers, and smoked sausage. Often this is not clearly disclosed on packaging, so consumers may unknowingly buy a product that is largely plant-based rather than fully meat.
