German chemical company BASF announced the official launch of three new world-scale production plants: menthol and linalool at Ludwigshafen in Germany, and citral at Zhanjiang in China, following the March 26, 2026 inauguration of BASF's Zhanjiang Verbund site. The Ludwigshafen project is in the triple-digit million-euro range. Separately, trinamiX GmbH expanded its mobile near-infrared spectroscopy offerings to identify materials used in footwear and textiles, supporting circular economy initiatives.
