On 10 June 2026, the European Union and Ukraine held their 11th Human Rights Dialogue in Kyiv, co-chaired by Baiba Tavaresa, Acting Deputy Managing Director for Ukraine at the European External Action Service, and Liudmyla Suhak, Acting Minister of Justice of Ukraine. The dialogue reaffirmed both sides' commitment to human rights and strongly condemned Russia's ongoing war of aggression, including systematic violations of international humanitarian and human rights law such as arbitrary detention, torture, sexual violence, and forced deportations of civilians and children. The EU and Ukraine also discussed accountability mechanisms, including the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression and the International Claims Commission, and welcomed Ukraine's progress on the Women, Peace and Security agenda, including adoption of a National Action Plan. The next dialogue is expected in 2027.
