France's innovative and responsible chemical industry is committed to reducing environmental impact and delivering durable solutions across mobility, plant-based chemistry, renewable energy, sustainable housing, and circular economy. It highlights a dynamic startup ecosystem with more than 300 ChemTech startups and over 80 members in the ChemTech community in France. The sector focuses on six domains: biosourced and industrial biotech chemistry, battery and electrolyser solutions, chemical recycling, carbon capture and utilization, health applications, and digital solutions for chemistry, along with measurement and process optimization. It notes a world-leading position in patent filings in Europe ahead of China, and progress in corporate social responsibility through Responsible Care and a decarbonization trajectory (Mtéq.CO2). It lists skills and training pathways and projects around 24,000 recruitments in one year, 94% permanent contracts, and 25% apprentices since 2020.
