The EUCC Information Sharing and Analysis Centre (ISAC) has announced its inaugural General Assembly, scheduled for 29 June 2025 in Brussels. The one-day event will gather EUCC ISAC members and stakeholders for governance discussions and strategic exchanges.
The morning session will cover administrative matters, including the election of Steering Committee members, proposed bylaws updates, and the formation of new technical groups. In the afternoon, representatives from EsEm, the European Commission, and ENISA will join an open discussion on the strategic roadmap, EUCC development, and the future maintenance model under Cybersecurity Act 2. The Assembly will conclude with a networking cocktail. Further information and a detailed agenda will be provided in the coming weeks.
This announcement follows a series of EU cybersecurity developments in April 2026. On April 22, ENISA launched an updated National Capabilities Assessment Framework (NCAF 2.0) to harmonize defenses across member states. Earlier, on April 20, CERT-EU reported that the ShinyHunters group breached the European Commission's cloud infrastructure, stealing personal data. The Commission subsequently investigated the attack, with officials noting comprehensive cybersecurity assessments and regular device replacements. On April 19, the Commission outlined NIS2 and Digital Networks Act proposals for cybersecurity governance, including rules to protect end-users from fraudulent communications. These initiatives build on reports from April 18 highlighting ransomware as a persistent threat in 2025, with AI emerging as both a facilitator and countermeasure. The EUCC ISAC Assembly will provide a platform to discuss these evolving challenges and the future of cybersecurity cooperation under the forthcoming Cybersecurity Act 2, which EU lawmakers are currently examining as part of the 2026 legislative package.
