Europe on Screen (EoS) 2026 officially closed on 14 June 2026 at Cinepolis Senayan Park, Jakarta, after an 11-day run across eight Indonesian cities. The festival, now in its 26th edition, screened 55 films from 28 European countries and awarded three winners of the Short Film Pitching Project (SFPP) 2026, a programme supporting emerging Indonesian filmmakers.

Ambassador of the European Union to Indonesia Denis Chaibi said the festival demonstrated the power of film to bridge cultures and highlighted the strong partnership between the EU and Indonesia. The closing film was Romania's Atlas of the Universe, directed by Paul Negoescu, which had its world premiere at Berlinale 2026 in the Generation Kplus section. Romanian Ambassador to Indonesia Dan Adrian Balanescu noted the film's reflection on childhood curiosity and empathy.

The SFPP 2026 jury, comprising Marlina Machfud, Asmara Abigail, and Ifan Ismail, selected winners from 202 submissions. First prize went to Lunchtime Monsters by Gerry Fairus and Dhita Intani, awarded IDR 39,675,000 in production funding and services. Second prize was Catatan Si Kumal by Aryudha Fasha and Alen Prima Aulya, and third prize went to Karina in Male Dominated Field by Mahaputri Adinda, Jazon Ezra Maail, and Ammara Shifa Uzma. Vice Minister of Culture Giring Ganesha Djumaryo pledged continued ministry support for such programmes to help local stories reach international audiences.

Co-Festival Director Nauval Yazid noted that over nine years, SFPP has grown into a key programme, with past winners screening at festivals in Indonesia and abroad. The festival offered free public access and fostered cultural exchange, with audiences in Jakarta, Bandung, Medan, Denpasar, Surabaya, Semarang, Sidoarjo, and Yogyakarta.
