On Friday, June 12, from 9:00 to 10:00, the Official Chamber of Commerce of Spain in Belgium and Luxembourg, in collaboration with its partner company PIA Group, will host a breakfast-conference on 'Belgian VAT: practical guidance for Spanish companies expanding to Belgium.' The session will be led by Glenn Van Hemelrijck, VAT Director at PIA Group, and will take place at the Chamber's premises (Avenue des Arts 1-2, 9th floor, 1210 Brussels). The event aims to provide Spanish entrepreneurs with the clarity needed to avoid costly mistakes and to set up their activities correctly in Belgium from the outset. During the conference, Van Hemelrijck will give a clear and practical overview of the three main VAT scenarios for foreign companies operating in Belgium; when VAT registration is required and when it is not; the differences between operating without a physical presence, via a permanent establishment, or through a subsidiary; as well as common mistakes and administrative obstacles faced by foreign entrepreneurs. Van Hemelrijck will conclude with practical tips to help those interested in expanding their business to Belgium choose the right structure. The event will be conducted in English. Places are limited. You can register at the following link.
