The European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) launched a podcast series on 14 July 2026, with the first episode focusing on the impact of Frontier AI on cybersecurity. The podcast, hosted by ENISA Associate Chief Cybersecurity and Operations Officer Florian Pennings and Spokesperson Laura Heuvinck, aims to decrypt cybersecurity developments and discuss issues shaping Europe's cybersecurity landscape. The inaugural episode features Jaya Baloo, co-founder of AISLE, and Razvan Gavrila, Head of Sector at ENISA, exploring machine-speed threats and the agency's recommendations for national authorities and EU policymakers.

The podcast series, titled 'ENISA on Air,' will cover topics such as Europe's cyber threat landscape, vulnerability management, and ENISA's flagship projects, including the upcoming Single Reporting Platform and the State of Cybersecurity in the Union 2026 report. The first episode builds on a note published by ENISA in July 2026, 'ENISA's View on Cybersecurity in the Frontier AI Era,' which provides recommendations for developing operational capabilities to counter AI-driven cyber threats. The podcast is available on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Deezer, with new episodes planned throughout 2026.

The initiative provides a new channel for ENISA to share updates and raise awareness about EU-level cybersecurity. It targets citizens, national and EU authorities, and the private sector, offering insights into risks, trends, and decisions affecting Europe's digital future. The podcast series is expected to enhance public understanding of cybersecurity challenges and foster cooperation across stakeholders.
