At in-cosmetics Global in Paris on 9 April 2026, BASF announced two cosmetic actives, NeoHelix Regenerate and SkinNexus Collag3n, highlighting a holistic approach to skin rejuvenation. NeoHelix Regenerate is a precision peptide designed to boost the skin’s self-repair and collagen renewal, incorporating concepts from CHP technology developed by the U.S. startup 3Helix. SkinNexus Collag3n is a recombinant Collagen III fragment produced by vegan yeast fermentation, offering a human-identical sequence intended to support the skin’s extracellular matrix. BASF reported in vivo and 3D model data showing reduced damaged collagen and improvements in collagen levels, skin thickness, tonicity, and wrinkle appearance, with NeoHelix Regenerate outperforming a benchmark peptide. The discoveries emerged from BASF’s collaboration with 3Helix and with Bota Biosciences, aimed at scalable biotech solutions for personal care.
