“Thank you very much, dear chair. Dear members of the European Parliament, dear Vice President, dear Representative of the regions, uh, many thanks for sharing the the state of the situation, the measures you have taken and most importantly, what still needs to be done. Um, we are, I must admit that we are fully aware of the scale of the housing challenges, and we are committed to play our role to try to address them. Uh, it was recalled, I think, by one of the member of the Parliament that we have article 349 for the outermost region of the treaty, which we consider that this provides a solid basis for us to take specific measures for the outermost region. We have an ongoing strategy for the outermost region. Housing. Decent and affordable housing was included in this strategy. It was included amongst many things. We need to be more ambitious. This is why we need to. We will revise our strategy and we will adopt a new one on the first quarter of 2026. So this is very relevant. All the input we got, uh, I'm convinced that we need to be to come up with concrete measures. We are launching a call for evidence in the coming days to collect some input. What I heard on the some derogation or things that can be done is very useful for us. If we come with a simplification packages, we have to have this in mind because I think we can contribute maybe not to at least to address and to attenuate the housing crisis in the, in the group and on the, on the islands. So this is what I wanted to share with the with the audience. Thank you.”
