What Lucrezia BUSA has said (1)
- “Thank you, Mr. Chair. Good afternoon everyone. So on the commission side we would like first by start expressing the appreciation for the work that Berec does also for the future work programme that colleagues from Berwick and Berwick office have presented to us, and for their readiness also to discuss with us and their availability to take up also possibly um, new competences in the framework of the discussions that we are having in the Digital Networks Act. In this context, I think it is important also that the Commission involves berec throughout also the planning of the um, of the initiative. And this is what the commission is doing, uh, via the, via the workshops that have been held so far with, with and with the NRA's because it is important that we hear also the views of NRA's that are very close to the market. Um, in this respect, I would just, uh, just like to say that it's a very important initiative for us where we will be working together on an important topic. I'm also very happy to hear that the European Parliament has expressed a lot of importance for objectives like the fibre rollout that are important for our economy and consumers, for simplification, as well as for the protection of end users. We are working full speed to deliver by the end of the year on the DNA, in accordance with the Commission work programme, as well as on the code review. And in this respect, the cooperation with Berec is very important. We are aware of the security threats we are investigating, that we are working together very closely with Berec and as a as partner. Dg. Dg connect is working with other services of the Commission to find a solution to these problems, which are, we believe, very important for us. And this has to be taken into account as well for sure. Also of the budget constraint in this context. Thanks again.”
