The Council of the European Union has published a notice of meeting and provisional agenda scheduling a meeting of the Working Party on JHA Information Exchange (IXIM) for 22 July 2026 at 10:00 in the Council Lex Building, Brussels. The meeting will address JHA information exchange, interoperability, and cooperation with third countries, with eu-LISA, Europol, and Frontex invited for items 1-5, and Schengen-Associated Countries for item 6.

The agenda includes COMIX items (1-5) covering adoption of the agenda, Presidency information, Commission and eu-LISA presentations on JHA interoperability architecture, a Cyprus presentation on Heads of SIRENE/SPOC meetings, and France information on the Maritime Travel Information Group. Non-COMIX items (6-10) include Presidency information on EU-US Framework Agreement and EBSP negotiations (with Schengen-Associated Countries), Commission information on the EU-Interpol Cooperation Agreement, Presidency and Commission information on information exchange with third countries, Presidency information and a Commission presentation on the future of Europol, and Presidency information on Prüm-like exchanges of dactyloscopic data with Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

The meeting format is 2+2, and delegations must register via the Delegates Portal. This session advances operational JHA information exchange, interoperability, and external cooperation, with specific updates from Cyprus, France, the Presidency, and the Commission.
