Eurobitume has announced that Dominic von Proeck, founder of the AI transformation academy Leaders of AI and a member of Microsoft’s AI expert council, will deliver the keynote address at the 3rd E&E Event on 11–12 June 2026 in Vienna, Austria. His presentation, titled 'AI – Reinventing the World of Work,' will explore how artificial intelligence can strengthen resilience and reshape the future of the asphalt and bitumen sector. The event, organised by Eurobitume, will bring together industry leaders to discuss key challenges and opportunities, covering six themes: sustainable road construction in Europe, decarbonisation pathways, next-gen talent acquisition, safe site management with a focus on emissions, emerging topics such as resilience and biomaterials, and a high-level panel on digitisation, road transport, and megatrends.

The announcement follows a series of recent AI-focused events across Europe. On 11 May 2026, the AI Everything Abu Dhabi Summit explored AI governance, finance, and technology across industries, while a 7 May event in Belgium examined AI's impact on communication and trust. The European Digital Finance Association (EDFA) hosted a forum on 23 April 2026 on scaling AI in finance beyond pilots. Earlier, on 21 April, the EEAS pushed for UN-led AI governance with a human rights focus, and AmCham EU hosted a discussion on AI and intellectual property challenges with the European Commission's Renate Nikolay. The European Parliament has also been active: on 16 April, ITRE MEPs clashed on digital sovereignty and AI regulation, while a JURI debate saw Virkkunen and Voss clash on copyright reform amid AI advancements. Additionally, on 21 April, Finnish pension insurer Elo highlighted AI's potential to identify work disability risks early, saving billions.

The Vienna event will also feature a pre-event networking dinner on 10 June and a networking evening at the Weltmuseum Wien on 11 June. Further speakers and session details are expected to be announced soon.
