The Council of the European Union has published a corrigendum to Council Decision (CFSP) 2025/2032 of 23 October 2025, correcting an obvious error in the Polish, Finnish, and Swedish language versions. The correction changes the annex reference in Article 4x(2)(b) of Decision 2014/512/CFSP from "Annex XXV" to "Annex XIII" for the list of crude oil, petroleum products, or mineral products originating from or exported from Russia that are subject to shipping restrictions.
The provision targets vessels transporting these products that engage in irregular or high-risk shipping practices as defined in IMO Resolution A.1192(33). The corrigendum, published on 8 July 2026, follows the procedure for obvious error corrections under Procedure 2(b), which allowed Member States three days to submit observations to the Council Legal Service.
The correction is purely technical and does not alter the substance of the restrictive measures. It ensures that the correct annex is referenced in the three language versions, aligning them with the original decision adopted in October 2025.
