The European Council's ACP Working Party is scheduled to meet on 30 June 2026 at 10:00 in the Justus Lipsius building in Brussels, according to a notice of meeting and provisional agenda published on 26 June 2026. The meeting will focus on EU relations with the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), the Centre for the Development of Enterprise (CDE), and the CARIFORUM-EU Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) Joint Council.
The working party will first adopt the provisional agenda before proceeding to discussions on each of the three main agenda items. The OACPS item covers the broad framework of EU cooperation with the 79-member organisation, which succeeded the Cotonou Agreement. The CDE discussion will address the EU's development enterprise support mechanism. The CARIFORUM-EU EPA Joint Council item concerns the implementation and governance of the trade agreement between the EU and the Caribbean Forum.
Member State delegations are limited to a 1+2 format, meaning one delegate plus two accompanying officials. The meeting will also include an "Any Other Business" segment for additional topics raised by participants.
This internal coordination meeting prepares EU positions ahead of formal dialogues with OACPS partners and joint council sessions. No decisions are expected to be taken at the working party level; the meeting serves to align Member State views and prepare recommendations for the Council's senior committees.
