A corrigendum issued by the Council of the European Union on 13 July 2026 corrects an error in the Finnish language version of Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 on batteries and waste batteries. The correction adds the category "remanufactured" to the list of battery classifications in Annex XIII, point 4(c), which previously omitted it. The list now reads: "original", "repurposed", "reused", "remanufactured", or "waste". The error affected only the Finnish text, and the corrigendum ensures alignment with the other language versions of the regulation, which already included "remanufactured". Member States have eight days to submit observations on the corrigendum to the Council's legal service.
