Key elements such as harmonised methodologies, detailed compliance pathways, and essential guidance are still missing or under development, while companies are expected to 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞.

📣 In this context, IMACE calls for:

• a postponement of the 12 August 2026 application date; • a targeted reopening of the Regulation to address critical outstanding issues; • timely publication of harmonised methodologies, standards, and guidance; • greater coherence and interoperability with related EU legislation.

A workable and harmonised implementation framework is essential to 𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐏𝐖𝐑 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 while safeguarding the functioning of the Single Market, legal certainty, and European competitiveness.
