Parliament endorsed the provisional agreement on coordinating national social security systems by 511 votes to 87 , with 61 abstentions. The EPP, S&D, Renew, the Greens/EFA and The Left all supported the text, joined by most of ECR and the NI, while opposition and abstentions were concentrated in PfE and ESN. The report is non-legislative in form here: it registers Parliament's political endorsement of the negotiated compromise and does not itself create binding law, but it signals broad cross-group backing for the agreed coordination rules and clears the way for the file to advance. The comfortable margin reflected support that stretched from The Left and the Greens/EFA across the political centre to much of ECR. The main reservations came from PfE, which split its votes, and ESN, most of whose members abstained.
