The Council of the European Union has published a corrigendum correcting an obvious error in the Portuguese language version of Regulation (EU) 2021/2278, which suspends Common Customs Tariff duties on certain agricultural and industrial products. The error is in the table header of the Annex, where the fifth column currently reads "Prazo de validade" (validity period) but should read "Taxa dos direitos autónomos" (autonomous duty rate). The correction, issued on 29 June 2026, follows Procedure 2(b) for obvious errors in a single language version and does not alter the substance of the regulation. Member States have eight days to submit observations to the Council's Legal Service.
This is a purely linguistic fix with no impact on stakeholders or policy.
