On 30 June 2026, the European Union and Kosovo held the 7th meeting of the Stabilisation and Association Committee in Pristina, co-chaired by Arben Krasniqi, General Secretary at the Office of Prime Minister, and Jiri Plecity, Head of DG ENEST Unit responsible for Kosovo. The meeting reviewed political and economic developments, alignment with EU standards, and progress under the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA). The EU acknowledged progress in competitiveness, inclusive growth, social policy, digital transformation, and customs, while stressing the need to accelerate reforms in public administration, freedom of expression, rule of law, and protection of fundamental rights and minority communities. Kosovo reaffirmed its commitment to the reform agenda and to leveraging the EU Growth Plan for the Western Balkans. The EU confirmed its role as Kosovo's largest donor, with over €3.7 billion invested since 1999, and pledged continued support for Kosovo's European path.
